about Amy

Hi, I’m Amy! As a child I was very into sports, however as a I entered my teen years, my participation in physical activity decreased and it’s only as an adult, have I rediscovered a love of running. When I first started running, I could barely run the length of my block, and I ran for the sole purpose of managing my weight.

Over time, and after injuries and inconsistencies, my relationship with running has changed. I developed a healthier approach to running and I also became a mum. Running became a source of joy rather than a punishment. It became my ‘me-time’ and a place where I could find balance and my new sense of self. I no longer run for any other reason than the immense benefits it gives my general sense of wellbeing and achieving goals I set myself. With this new approach I have truly found a love for running and in the process, I have run 4 marathons, a handful of halves and 10k races, all with the primary goal of having fun and improving in myself. I am not the perfect runner. I am not the fastest runner. What I am, is passionate about running and the benefit it can have on general wellbeing and working with others to reach their goals. I will be your biggest cheerleader and supporter as you go on your running journey!

I hold my Level 1 Athletics Coaching qualification with Athletics Australia and Run Coach certification with UESCA. As a trained Early Childhood and (almost) trained Primary School teacher I have extensive experience in working with young people and have a current working with children check.

I look forward to helping women and girls find their love of running in a positive way. Get in touch via the button below if you would like to know more or work with me.
